Christmas Church Service – Sunday December 11, 2011

We have been blessed with an exceptionally beautiful and long fall. It is hard to believe that another year is coming to its close.

Pastor Elisabeth Arendt is back on the pulpit from a shorter than usual maternity leave, having given birth to an adorable little girl in December last year. We welcome her back here in Ottawa on Sunday, December 11, 2011, at 2:00 p.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 272 Crichton Street.

This Service is in Danish, but everyone is welcome. It is a wonderful way to start the busy Christmas season, to sing our well-known Danish hymns and listen to the traditional Christmas gospel.

After the Service we meet next door in the Church Hall for our usual coffee and tea, with goodies. At Christmas time it is tradition, though, that we have “æbleskiver”, courtesy of Bodil and Peter.

If you can spare some of your own Christmas baking for the coffee table, it will be very well received. Hope to see you there.

On behalf of the Church Committee,
I remain yours truly,
Vita Christensen
